Jimmy taught a lot of things to Frank that some people today,,,don't seem to understand----Bill and I were there, as was Ron Bradburn, and Al Rubin.....Yeah, Al Rubin not only started with Frank Woolsey, he Taught in one of Frank's schools-----ask Bill about THAT.... Ted Sias was a teacher for Frank....I wonder if Bill remembers Mike Turner.....If a person has been there, he can answer to it..... But I've said before----get Bill Hulsey's material....It came from the Grand Master, Jimmy H. Woo. It just took Bill and myself a whole lot of years to get the stuff.... If ya don't understand anything else, remember this,,,as Bill said it in a past newsletter-----a black belt is only a white belt who didn't quit..... I've been a Master of SanSoo since 1990. AND---I'm still studying the Art.... AND----Bill is also still studying. You can't learn over 4000 years of information in one lifetime,,,that is why we help each other and practice together. And when I met Jimmy the first time in 1968, right after I got my green belt from Frank, Jimmy asked me who my instructor was...I said 'Frank Woolsey', Jimmy said "Franky is good boy, he teach you real good" Three years later when I got back from 'Nam and out of the Marine Corps, things had changed, and I was not yet aware of it, till Frank said he was better than Jimmy, cause Jimmy was an old man....That comment came from Frank in 1973..that's when he said it to Me. I don't know if Frank ever said it to Hulsey,,,,,we never really talked much about it... We just knew that Frank was getting cocky and I, personally, didn't like to hear Frank talking about Jimmy like that. I was surprised when Frank closed all five of his schools in one weekend. All the instructors went to Jimmy except a couple of em that didn't care to continue. Jimmy accepted us all with open arms and much respect, cause he KNEW that we all had total respect for HIM and the ART.
