Mr. Ponce, who issued you the black belt?????
If it was a legitimate instructor,,,,,,wear it proudly.....
You say "I look at all the Masters and think, I don't know a thing". Remember, all those Masters didn't know a thing either,,,,til they started learning.....
Just curious,,,,who WAS the instructor that promoted you to black belt??????

Looking forward to your answer....

Be blessed,,,,sir

awesome post. I have been with KFSS since my early teenage years...I was under Andre Salvage in Los Angeles. As life happens, my family moved and I lost contact with all of KFSS. I graduated college, got a career, bought a house, got married, got divorce and married again. Finally, 3 kids later, got my black belt in summer 09. Funny thing is I dont feel I deserve, i look at all the masters and think, "damn I dont know a thing!" One thing keeps echoing in my mind, a black belt long ago told me - "the black belt is the beginning of the real art!" I didnt know what he meant then....but after reading your post I think I do now. THANK YOU.

What a great post. Thanks so much for sharing this BLOG knowledge with those of us who cant train with you personally. PLEASE keep them coming.

In this post you mentioned the test taking three days and an injury....what exactly was involved or required for those black belt tests if it took three days to do? I await your response excitedly!
